Bronze Gates & Screens
2013-2022
The façade design includes arcaded arches which feature various windows and doors with ornamental latticework. All window screens require an internal steel substructure which is encapsulated by bronze casted half shells to achieve a solid look and feel of the ornaments. Gilded inlays are implemented in all decagons to accentuate ornamental patterns.
Creation of unique components

The facades reflect the general holy atmosphere of the Haram. Therefore, to obtain the desired façade and atmosphere, everything is executed in a highly precise manner using sophisticated engineering process.
Due to the specific requirements needed to execute such a project, a unique design and technology process was created. An absolute precision-perfect-invisible internal steel framework provides the necessary structural support.
With the involvement of the best architects, designers, and engineers, the technical and functional solution of these fine ornamental geometry was found to fulfill all the optical requirements as well as highest levels in function, climatic, and structural performances to the creation of the unique of each component of the façade.
The doors include a special security & control concept, which includes an intelligent software solution to control the flow of people remotely, under normal circumstances but also in emergencies. Additionally, the door camera system monitors visitor behavior, with integrated functions for counting visitor numbers, and controls the gates according to situations arising in the building.
In addition, special patination was added to the elements through oxidation processes to provide the required colors and create a corrosion-resistant layer on the surface.
Special production methods of high precision work which allows only minimal tolerances were needed to reach the measures that are necessary for the high-end requirements of the architects.
